The International Nighttime Design Initiative (NTD) in partnership with The Institution of Lighting Professionals (ILP), have launched a public, curated resource, “WRITING, LIGHTING AND NIGHT: an ever-expanding booklist”. The Booklist is interactive and input is encouraged.

THE EVENT

The launch event took place on 11 February 2021. Architect/author, Nick Dunn, moderated. He was joined by two booklovers from each organization. 63 international attendees joined the edifying event .

THE PROCESS

The Booklist was initially co-selected by members of the organizations to represent the most important books in our fields; nighttime design and lighting design. This special “library” is our contribution to provide an in-depth and eclectic resource to fellow professionals and to the public.

The “context” collection offers writing from other disciplines such urban design and planning, color studies, media facades and subjects such as gender, race and public space issues.
